I’m a lifelong Alaskan, born & raised in the Anchorage/Mat-Su area.
While living in Juneau in 2020, I found a passion in photographing the aurora - my love for the peacefulness, and raw power, of this phenomenon has been something I’ve been inspired to chase & photograph ever since those first days in the Tongass.
It’s taken me to the extremes of Fairbanks, shooting in temperatures as cold as -50F, evolving into an opportunity to share my experiences through physical print, digital products, and much more to come.
No experience chasing the aurora is one and the same. Each night carries different character to the activity, unique challenges, and abundant opportunities for adventure.
From The Road To Fine Art Prints
All of my photographs are a culmination of many hours spent on the road, and represent an authentic documentation of what's happening in the sky.
In my post-production process, touch ups/minor enhancements occur and no AI integrations are present within my images.
Every night comes with different challenges & characters when chasing the aurora, and my joy comes in sharing these moments through shared connection - whether through the experiences shared in a solar storm, a memory of Alaska, or an inspiration to further enjoy the last frontier.
Alaskan winters can be brutal and are unforgiving. My experiences chasing so far have included frostbite, wildlife intercations, and encompassed Southcentral, Interior, and Southeast Alaska - with so much more to come.
